About Us
We’re more than music lovers—we’re family. As siblings born into Ghanaian culture, music and dancing were always at the heart of our upbringing. Whether it was listening to reggae with our father, dancing with our mother, or performing in school concerts and church, music has been woven into every aspect of our lives.
Growing up in an international education system exposed us to the vast global culture of music. Surrounded by friends from all over the world, we developed an appreciation for the diversity of sounds, styles, and rhythms that make music so powerful. We quickly realized that beneath the surface of what’s popular lies a treasure trove of creativity—music that deserves to be heard.
This passion for discovery and community led us to become DJs and launch an event series dedicated to spotlighting music from all over the world.
Through these events, we’ve created a space where music and dance lovers can connect, where DJs have the creative freedom to share sounds that move them, and where cultural expression thrives. It’s this same spirit that inspired us to create SugarCubes — a platform designed to amplify underrepresented voices and give music lovers the power to shape what gets heard.
